about the author

R. Kyle Beswick is one of 70 million people in the world who stutter, and his struggles with speech fluency inspired his debut novel, Say It Ain’t So—a middle-grade story about finding your voice through friendship, adventure, and Weezer.  

His writing has appeared in Bleacher Report, Risley Revue, Yahoo! Sports, Flashquake and other publications.

He holds a BA in English from Cornell University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University in Los Angeles, where he was born and raised and lives with his wife and two middle-grade sons.
